Creating a Facebook ad is a powerful marketing tool that can reach your ideal customers at a price that fits any budget. However, creating an ad that drives the desired results requires careful consideration of design, message, format and audience targeting.
Start with a clear understanding of your goals. This will help you create and monitor your Facebook ads more effectively, which in turn will improve their performance.
Choose the type of ad you want to create:
To get started, select “create a new campaign” from the dropdown in Ads Manager. You’ll then be presented with a list of 11 different ad objectives, which range from spreading brand awareness to driving traffic to your website. For example, if you’re looking to increase sales of your product or service, an offer ad is the way to go.
You can also select whether you want to use automatic or manual bidding. If you’re using automatic bidding, Facebook will optimize your bids to drive the best possible outcome, which can result in lower costs or higher conversions. Alternatively, manual bidding gives you control over your maximum bid.
Next, decide what creative assets you’ll include in your ad. Select a single image or video, a carousel, or a collection (a group of images that will expand into a full-screen experience on mobile). You can also choose to add a link to your website or a landing page. You can also opt to add a UTM tracking code to your website URL.
